The Mighty Man’s Challenge is a 5 year program meant to transform your sons into Mighty Men for the Lord. Each year of this challenge includes a step by step plan on what your son should be accomplishing to help him become a godly Christian man. Click here to learn more about the challenge!
One of the burning desires my wife and I have is to raise the six children that God has blessed us with “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4). Our two oldest children are young men! As I contemplated the responsibility that my wife and I have to raise our sons to be Mighty Men for God, I began to think of all of the comprehensive training that I should give them. I want as a father to provide one-on-one mentoring to them (2nd Timothy 2:2). I want them to be grounded in the Word of God and sound Biblical doctrine (Titus 2:1). I want them to be experts in diverse fields (Daniel 1:17) and proficient musicians (like David, “the sweet psalmist of Israel” – 2nd Samuel 23:1). I want them to be able to defend themselves physically (Psalm 144:1) and have the knowledge and training to safely handle firearms. I want them to be wise and knowledgeable (2nd Timothy 4:14) while also physically strong (Proverbs 24:5). I want them to be able to work with their hands (1st Thessalonians 4:11). I want them to be able to provide for their future families (1st Timothy 5:8). And above all, I want them to love and serve the Lord (Ecclesiastes 12:1)!
It is this burden that led me to develop the Mighty Man’s Challenge. This challenge will provide a five year program that will develop your sons in all of the aforementioned areas. The challenge is divided into five different years and focuses on twelve different areas. Each year that is accomplished allows your son to earn a “rank” (like they do in the military) to show his progression and experience. Each successfully accomplished year also allows your son to earn a reward (to serve as motivation for them)!
We pray that this course will be a tool that the Lord uses in your family’s life to help you raise Mighty Men for God! That we as fathers may one day say to our sons what David said to his son Solomon, “I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man” (1st Kings 2:2).
